She was visiting for a knee pain examination. I had severely chapped lips at the time and asked her if she had some lip balm in her bag. The doctor stared at me with a grin and said, "You know, the condition of your lips directly relates to your diet." Huh? She educated me that eating and drinking the correct nutrients and fluids often would deter my lips from being chapped. This threw me. However, now I have settled upon a more nutritious diet and am no longer using lip balm. And would you believe? I never have chapped lips anymore. It's extraordinary how some things work.
